PHO Collaboration Platform

PHOCUS is a collaboration platform designed for Primary Health Organisation (PHO) CIOs, IT Managers, Data Analysts, and members of the national PHO CIO Forum and subcommittees to share information and resources.

The concept of a collaboration platform arised out of the PHO CIO Forum as a need for a ‘central repository’ where PHOs can share information with their peers and avoid ‘reinventing the wheel’ for software and IT systems procurement, processes and policies, risk management, and data and cybersecurity assessments etc.

The platform is built using Microsoft SharePoint and access is restricted to authorised users, i.e. relevant PHO staff, subcommittee members, and subspace owners.

Subspaces exist for each PHO, special interest groups such as the Primary Care Analysts Network (PCAN) and PHO Data Security Committee, and authorised external parties like the Ministry of Health. Each subspace is owned by the relevant party to customise and upload their own content for the purpose of sharing with PHOCUS members.

The platform includes a fully-indexed document library enabling easy sharing of documents, presentations, reports, meeting papers and minutes etc.

Members can ask their PHO colleagues questions on any topic or seek advice and recommendations on the discussion board.

The PHOCUS platform is administered by Patients First and governed by a subcommittee of PHO CIOs and IT Managers.
